Ralf Rangnick refuse to answer question on imminent manager Erik Ten Hag as he rules out first first team player ahead of Norwich.

Manchester United interim manager refuse to answer question on imminent manager Erik Ten Hag during his interview ahead of their clash with Norwich.

Erik Ten Hag is set to replace Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United and will be the fifth manager at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson.

When asked about his view about Ten Hag, Rangnick said: “I don’t know if it’s a done deal and my reply is the same – my focus is on the game against Norwich and to prepare the team on a higher level for the game,” said Rangnick. “It doesn’t make sense [to talk about ten Hag]. We all know he’s a good manager, done a good job at Ajax and former clubs, but it doesn’t make sense if I tell you what I think of another coach.”

Ragnick that he will be without five first team player ahead of the Premier League match against Norwich.

Fred was substituted in the defeat against Everton last week and fellow midfielder Scott McTominay was not involved in the game.

Luke Shaw has also been ruled out of the Norwich game, so as Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane.

“Five players will still be missing for tomorrow, and probably some of them also for the upcoming games. You already mentioned Fred and Scott. Rapha Varane, Luke Shaw had his bolts and metal stuff removed from his leg and Edinson Cavani, those are the five that will be missing.”
