Jurgen Klopp believe his side still have lots of work to do against Villarreal in Spain for the return leg of the Champions League.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists his side do not have to defend against Villarreal in the second leg of the Champions League following their 2-0 advantage at Anfield last night.

The Reds have a huge advantage before the play the return leg in Spain in the next few days.

Klopp, who revealed to the media that the have to approach the return leg like they did in the first leg because it’s a fight to finish and if they try to defend then they lose their advantage.

The German knows the kind of danger the Villarreal players possess and he insists that his players need to be fully focus on getting the job done in the second leg.

“For me, it’s the best example, you play a game and it’s 2-0 at half-time [then] you have to be completely on alert”, Klopp said after their victory at Anfield.

“You have to be 100 per cent in the right mood, you have to play the second half like you played the first half. There is nothing to defend [and] if you do that you [lose] immediately all the advantages you might have had before.

“We know we go there and it will be a tricky atmosphere for us and different from tonight”, He added. Their players, you saw it tonight, they fight with all they have and what I like [is] that everybody could see that we fought with all we have. It’s always the same.

“If they beat us with a result that brings them to the final, then they deserve it and if not then we deserve it. That’s how the competition is. We played a really good game and now in five days we will play again and we have to make sure that we are ready.”
