Manchester United insists former Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale despite not part of the preseason squad on tour.

Manchester United insists their wantaway forward is not for sale according to recent report, Sportscliffs understands.

The former Juventus player has requested that he wants to leave the Old Trafford club this summer following a disappointing season.

Ronaldo didn’t travel with the squad on a preseason tour as he claims he is faced with family issue.

Reports have emerged to suggest the Red Devils are prepared to sell Ronaldo this summer – but talkSPORT transfer guru Alex Crook insists that is not true.

He stated that: “I spoke to somebody at OId Trafford on Thursday, they confirmed he wasn’t going to be part of the tour of Australia and Thailand.

“He has been granted additional time off to deal with a family issue, and because of the nature of the issue, they can’t speculate when he will join the side.

“But they reiterated to me that he remains under contract with Man United, he isn’t for sale.

“These stories that have been coming out saying that they are now accepting that he will leave and they have a price tag in their head – I’ve been told that isn’t the case.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Man Utd from Juventus in the summer of 2021 was undoubtedly one of the biggest transfer stories in the world of football as the Portuguese legend returned to Old Trafford after 12 years away.

Ronaldo finished the campaign with very impressive individual numbers of 24 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, with 18 Premier League goals, only Mohamed Salah and Heung-Min Son scored more.
