Brahim Díaz, the hero in their 1-0 Champions League win over RB Leipzig, paid a touching tribute to his injured teammate Jude Bellingham by mimicking the midfielder’s goal celebration.

Real Madrid secured a 1-0 victory in the Champions League round-of-16 first leg against RB Leipzig, with Brahim Díaz scoring a stunning individual goal in the 48th minute.

Díaz paid tribute to his injured teammate, Jude Bellingham, by imitating the midfielder’s arms-outstretched goal celebration, prompting Bellingham to express his admiration on social media.

In a post-match interview, Díaz praised Bellingham, calling him a “world-class player” and highlighting their strong camaraderie.

Despite missing key players like Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger, Díaz emphasized Real Madrid’s resilience, stating, “we keep showing that we’re a great team, that we’re Real Madrid.”

Díaz, who initially struggled to secure a spot in the Madrid team after joining from AC Milan, has become a crucial player, scoring eight goals in all competitions this season.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti commended Díaz’s growth, noting his increased strength and character since his time in Milan. Ancelotti humorously shared his pre-goal thoughts, saying, “Don’t lose the ball! And he didn’t!”

Real Madrid, currently leading LaLiga, will face Rayo Vallecano, Sevilla, and Valencia in the league before the return leg against Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabeu on March 6.

The team continues to showcase its strength and determination in both domestic and international competitions.
