Tuchel’s men will be heading into the FA semifinal with the premier league leaders Manchester city after both team progress into the Champions league semifinal in the midweek.

Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel aims at closing gap on Manchester City at before the season come to an end.

Tuchel, who has a bright start after he replaced former manager Frank Lampard at Chelsea will face league leaders in the FA cup semifinal.

He stated that city had a rough start in the beginning of the season but their reaction and performance brought them back to the top of the premier league table.

He further explains that accepting where they are and admit he will not judge how many percent they are behind City.

“You close the gap step-by step” Tuchel said. Recruting, I don’t know [if this is needed] because we show right now good performances in a very constant level in very important matches. At crucial moments we showed up, and I will tell you maybe after the season where I think we are and where we need to improve, and what the situation can be.

“Because the crucial moments come now and we are not that long together. We live these crucial moments now together. This is very nice because you get to know your team the very best if they are tight games and the pressure is on. We play a semi-final today and we play a semi-final in the Champions League and we play every game like a cup game in the league to finish in the top four.”

Chelsea will be playing Manchester City in the FA cup semifinal and they will Tuchel and his boys will want to prove a point in the competition.
