Carlo Ancelotti says his team will show attitude in the Champions League after disppointing draw in the La Liga last week.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated that his side are ready to show identity and attitude against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

The Spanish club dropped points in the La Liga last week as their 100 percent win record came to an end.

Ancelotti insists his side are determine to show their identity against an opponent he believes is tough.

“It’s an important game in the group and for us if we can get to nine points”, Ancelotti said. “We’re ready for this. We didn’t have our best game on Sunday, we want to improve and show another identity and attitude”.

The former Everton manager reveals that he will have Luca Modric and Lucas Vázquez back but will be without goalkeeper Courtois.

“We’re going to face a tough opposition. They’ve started this Champions league group very well and have beaten Leipzig. We have the utmost respect for them. We’ll be without Courtois. But Modrić and Lucas Vázquez are back and have been training with the team. Unfortunately, Ceballos has had a problem and he won’t be in the squad.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid defender Carvajal claims they want to cement the top spot in their group against a team that is behind them in the group.

“We have a tough game against a team that’s second in the group and we want to cement our lead at the top because it’d be a massive step towards securing first place”.

“I feel very fortunate to have won five European Cups with this club. This secret is all about resetting every season and to keep wanting to do something historic in this shirt. The values of this club teach you to always win and fight in every game you play.”

Speaking about himself the Spaniard stated that he wants to get in good shape in order to play in the World Cup.

“On a personal level, I’m feeling good and I’ve got a lot of minutes under my belt. I’m trying to be at my best physically for the World Cup, six or seven weeks from now, and I want to get there in good shape”.
