“Well, the season highlights at the moment the situation we are in in the Premier League. We’ve done really well in Europe, really good in the cups and we are struggling to get results in the Premier League. Again, when we analyse every game, the reasons why we are losing football matches, compared to other teams winning them, the margins are small. But we need those margins very quickly before the situation gets impossible to handle”, Arteta said.

Arteta who stated that the don’t have to feel sorry for them self and he won’t fault his players he believes his team is trying their best as they play with limitations.

“We cannot feel sorry for ourselves,” Arteta told media. “We are losing football matches because of us, nothing to do with the opponent.

“Against Burnley we lost the game without conceding any shots on target, believe it or not, and today again you can see how the team tried and how they tried to play with our limitations, but they always try and fight, and I cannot fault that at all from the players.”

Arsenal will face Manchester City in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday at the Emirates, and the manager underlined the importance of taking responsibility for our performances ahead of that game.
