Mikal Bridges agrees four year  $90 million rookie contract extension.

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Mikal Bridges has agreed to a four-year $90 million rookie contract extension.

Bridges agents, Sam Goldfeder and Jordan Gertler of Excel Sports told reporters on Sunday.

Bridges’ agent claims that the deal averaging $22.5 million per season is fully guaranteed, and starts with the 2022-23 season.

The 25years old has been an immense part of the Suns’ renaissance in the Western Conference, establishing himself as one of the most versatile young two-way players in the NBA.

Bridges had career highs of 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, one block and one steal per game during the Suns’ improbable run to the NBA Finals.

After winning two national titles at Villanova, Bridges helped turn around a languid Phoenix franchise after a draft night trade brought him to the organization.

“Wherever he has gone, he has won,” Goldfeder told ESPN. “It’s no accident. He is the player who buys into a culture as well as sets a culture.”

Said Gertler: “Mikal has worked tirelessly to bring winning basketball back to the Phoenix Suns. This is the culmination of his hard work.”
