Jamie Carragher believes that Antonio Conte wants to get himself sack by Tottenham after comment.
Tottenham manager Conte slammed the players and the club owners when the London club dropped points against Southampton.
Antonio Conte hit out at his “selfish players” for not wanting to play “under pressure” in an extraordinary post-match rant after Southampton match.
Conte in his outburst to the ownership states that:”Twenty years there is the owner and they never won something but why? The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here.
“You risk to disrupt the figure of the manager and to protect the other situation in every moment.
“Until now I try to hide the situation but now, no, because I repeat, I don’t want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans.
“They follow us, pay for their ticket and to see the team another time, to have this type of performance is unacceptable. We have to think a lot about this.”
Jamie said in a tweet!!!
“Conte wants to be sacked in this international break,” Sky Sports pundit Carragher tweeted. “Spurs should just put him out of his misery and do it tonight.”
Tottenham’s collapse at St Mary’s caps off a miserable March after they were dumped out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League earlier this month to leave them trophyless since 2008.
Carragher added: “His point about Spurs not winning for a long time is right, but you don’t speak about your own club like that.
“Especially when you’re getting paid fortunes by them! The improvement in Arsenal this season after finishing above them last season kills a lot of his arguments.”
