David De Gea is ‘ready’ to join Bayern Munich after his dream transfer to Real Madrid collapsed, for the second time in his career.

David De Gea finds himself on the brink of a potential move to Bayern Munich, following the collapse of his long-sought dream transfer to Real Madrid for the second time in his career.

The Spanish goalkeeper, a free agent after his Manchester United contract expired, is now reportedly in talks with the German club as they scramble to secure a replacement for their injured No.1, Manuel Neuer.

Initially, Bayern had been in discussions with Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga, eyeing him as a temporary solution to Neuer’s absence. However, with Kepa’s potential availability hanging in the balance due to developments involving his loan move, Bayern has shifted their attention towards De Gea.

Talks between Bayern and De Gea have gained momentum as the transfer deadline looms, with the German giants looking to secure a reliable option between the posts.

While Bayern explored other options, including Manchester City’s second-choice goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, Pep Guardiola has made it clear that City intends to retain their backup shot-stopper. Another target, Geronimo Rulli from Ajax, suffered an unfortunate injury setback, ruling him out of contention for up to three months.

As the Bundesliga season opener approaches in just three days, Bayern faces a tight window to finalize a deal and solidify their squad ahead of their first match. With No.3 goalkeeper Sven Ulreich poised to take the field, the club is determined to secure a dependable goalkeeper to anchor their defense.

De Gea’s readiness to embrace a move to Bayern Munich underscores his commitment to maintaining a prominent role on the European football stage.

As negotiations intensify and the transfer saga unfolds, both De Gea and Bayern Munich find themselves racing against time to reach an agreement and ensure a seamless transition before the upcoming season’s kickoff.
