Jurgen Klopp claims the impact on Unai Emery will be felt in the camp of Aston Villa as the Red boss hails the quality of former Arsenal manager.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has an unknown quality which has impacted the way they play their game.
The former Villarreal boss replaced Steven Gerrard at the club following poor result from the former Rangers manager in the Premier League.
Unai Emery, who took charge of his first game for the Villa side against Manchester United got an impressive victory at Villa Park.
Aston Villa will host the Reds in the first Premier League game after the World cup in Qatar and Klopp has something to say about the quality of the former Arsenal manager.
“I think what you can expect is that Unai stands for a specific kind of football and was really successful and did an incredible job at Villarreal, not only there but now recently there”, Klopp said ahead of their meeting.
“What you saw in the first few games they played and the games we could see in this ‘pre-season’ now, it looks quite similar because it is a good way to play and it’s his way and it’s how he wants to organise a team.
“We don’t know exactly what to expect, like you never know exactly what to expect, but at least we have an idea how they will try to cause us problems. So, that’s what we prepare for. Our analysis obviously started already as well so now we have two days’ time to create a plan to cause them problems.”
