Leo Ezekiel confidence on scoring more goals for Akwa United has he claims he knows the responsibility of being a striker.

Akwa United striker Leo Ezekiel believes he is confidence of scoring more goals for his new club Akwa United in the Nigerian Professional Football League.

Leo joined the reigning champions at the start of the current NPFL season and since then made one start and 6 appearances for the team.

The forward has made a positive mark to his new club scoring two goals for them which one was the winning goal against Niger Tornadoes in Abuja.

In an exclusive interview with Awka United official website the young star claims he knows the responsibility of being a striker and he insists he is confidence of scoring goals for the team.

“I’m really grateful to God that I have achieve my dream of playing professional football, not just playing but scoring goals at the highest level of club football in Nigeria.

” Having the opportunity to play professional football comes with a big responsibility on my shoulders as a striker. I’m happy that the goals are beginning to come and I’m confident that I will score many more goals for this club.

“I want to thank everyone at Akwa United including the fans for all the support and encouragement I have enjoyed since I arrived at this great club. I want to assure everyone that I will continue to work hard to ensure I score as many goals as possible that will help Akwa United to win trophies this season and in seasons to come,”.

The former Blue Ocean FC striker insists beginning his professional football career in a club like Akwa United is a springboard that will take his career to the highest level.

The Akwa Ibom team will travel down to Abia state as they will face the Abia Warriors in the League today.
