Erik Ten Hag has confirmed huge boost for Manchester United as he stated that Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are back in training as he lists defenders that are out of the derby game.

Manchester United have received huge boost to their squad ahead of the Manchester derby at Etihad stadium on Sunday.

United manager Erik Ten Hag confirmed that Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are back in training.

Anthony Martial has been sidelined from the squad due to injury and has not feature recently for the Red Devils.

Marcus Rashford, who is preferred as a center forward in the absence of Martial and ahead of Ronaldo missed the Europa League match due to injury.

Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire is also set to miss the derby after he suffered injury while on duty with England.

While speaking with media ahead of the former Ajax manager stated that both players are back in training but pointed that Martial is still a doubt for the game despite impressing in training.

“The situation is the following,” said the boss. “Harry Maguire is injured and I think, for the rest, we have some doubts, with Anthony Martial, but he was training all week with the group. So I am really happy with that situation, he’s performing really well in training and makes a good impression.

“Marcus Rashford has returned to training, so I’m also happy with that.

“For the rest, maybe I think it’s only the longer-term injuries like Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams. They are not available.”
