Mason Greenwood has been listed in the retainer list of Manchester United as the club is yet to take decision on the academy graduate.
Manchester United has released their retained list, which includes the name of Mason Greenwood.
The club has been engaged in discussions with David De Gea regarding a new contract, but it is Greenwood’s presence on the list that has garnered significant attention.
Speculation has surrounded the young striker, but it seems that he will remain with the club as they deliberate on the appropriate course of action regarding his future.
The 21 years old, is currently serving a suspension imposed by Manchester United. In February, charges of attempted rape, assault, and coercive and controlling behavior against him were dropped.
While the club conducts an internal investigation into the matter, they are weighing their options and considering potential next steps.
Recent reports suggest that Greenwood may be given an opportunity to return to the team or be loaned out to a foreign club.
