Jesse Marsch believes crossing the line when they need to be aggressive is not the point but insists he won’t blame any player for their loss against Chelsea.

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch believes they need to be aggressive against the ball and try to win the ball back but their aggressiveness in some area cost them in their defeat.

Leeds suffers 3-0 defeat in the Premier League to Chelsea as they face relegation battle.

Former Manchester United player Daniel James was sent off in the first half of the game which made it more difficult for them against the Blues.

Marsch stated after the game that he will not blame any player for the loss but insists they have to be aggressive but not cross the line.

“One thing is for sure, I’m not going to sit here and blame anyone,” the American said.

“We have to be aggressive against the ball. We have to try to win balls and sometimes now we’ve been a little too aggressive in certain situations and that has cost us.

“I think the situation with the table has something to do with it, has everything to do with our situation right now.

“We want to be aggressive, but certainly not cross the line.”

Leeds were dealt yet another injury blow when Jack Harrison hobbled off in the first half and Marsch said the winger would require a scan, while Raphinha was withdrawn as a precaution.
