Gabriel Martinelli believes Arsenal can achieve great things this season but insists on taking it step by step.

Arsenal midfielder Gabriel Martinelli is feeling motivated after the 3-2 victory against the Reds in the Premier League.

The Brazilian scored in the early minutes of the game and assisted Bukayo Saka for the Gunners second goal.

With the rhythm Martinelli insists his side needs to take every game as it comes and try and win it.

“I think we need to keep our feet on the floor and go game by game and try to win all of them” Martinelli said about Arsenal achieving success this season.

Speaking about his early goal in the game the Brazilian said: “To be fair I was a bit afraid, I think B was offside – no he wasn’t offside, but they were checking B for offside. But it was a great feeling, and the assist after, just before the end of the first half. I think we deserved the win and I’m so happy”.

Meanwhile, Martinelli got huge praise from his boss for his performance in the victory.

“He’s a great player, I think today he had an outstanding performance against a top defender, against a top team and he made a difference in the game as well as the other players and that’s the next level to step up in these games and actually make things happen to win it” Arteta said.

Speaking about his contract situation Arteta added: “We don’t get dragged out about a performance, Gabi doesn’t have to show me whether he plays well or not today. What he deserves is clear, his hunger, his determination, his love for this game and you don’t know where he is going to reach, he’s always asking and willing for more”.
