Rashford reveals main focus as United player
Marcus Rashford has revealed his main goal as a Manchester United player and insists they have to show consistency to achieve it.
Marcus Rashford has been in a great form for Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United since the beginning of the season.
The English forward has helped play different positions in absence of key players and also got goals and assists to crown them.
The player came into the limelight during the era of Louis Van Gaal and since then stepped up his game to this moment.
Rashford, who spoke to the media revealed his main goal as a United player as he claims they have to show character to achieve that.
“I want to win the biggest trophies. I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play in finals for the club, win finals for the club, and have a few trophies under my name, but I want to get the big trophies – I want to get the Premier League, the Champions League”, Rashford said.
“But we can’t expect to just jump back to those heights. This season we’ve showed at times that we can compete with the best teams in the league, and then we’ve showed that there’s no room to switch off.
“So we have to find a balance between the two and find consistency,” continued Rashford, “Because I believe in the players and in the staff and in the manager.
“I just feel like if we perform as well as we can perform, then we don’t have to worry about any other teams. If we just focus on ourselves and perform as best as we can every game, we’ll win more games than we’ll lose or draw.
“For me, that’s my main focus.”
Manchester United will host Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, a side that defeated the Reds 3-1 in the Premier League and Rashford hopes to be in the lineup of the game.
