Reigning NBA 3-Pt Champ Buddy Hield trolls 2K21 over 3-Pt rating

Sacramento Kings star Buddy Hield had to remind 2K Sports who’s the reigning 3-Pt champ after beign left out of the top 10 long-distance shooters by the video game.

Hield took the 3-point shooting trophy home after All-Star weekend earlier this year but was snubbed by NBA 2K21 on a ratings basis, with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson taking the top two spots with 99 and 95 respectively. The Miami Heat’s Duncan Robinson expectedly shot up the charts, getting the third-best rating. JJ Redick, Damian Lillard, Seth Curry, Matt Thomas, Derrick Walton Jr., George Hill, and Doug McDermott are among players who rank above Hield too.

The 27-year-old took to Twitter to throw some shade on the list with a GIF of himself holding said trophy.

Hield came out on top of a close contest, beating Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker 27-26 after hitting seven of his final eight shots on the night. However, he shot 39.4 percent from beyond the arc last season, a career-low since his rookie year.

The guard shot 442.7 percent from three the previous season and 43.1 percent the term before that.

Hield’s name has been mentioned in trade rumors recently and he made no secret of his dissatisfaction with his role under Luke Walton but Kings GM Monte McNair has said the team considers the player to be part of its future.
