Ronaldo claims he kept his promise to Al Nassr
Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo claims he kept his promise to the Saudi Professional League team Al Nassr during his unveiling.
Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Saudi Arabian club shortly after the World cup tournament in Qatar following his contract termination at Old Trafford.
Speaking at the Press conference during his unveiling the Ronaldo stated that many European team wanted him but he had to keep his word for Al Nassr.
“Many clubs in Europe, Brazil and Australia, US and even in Portugal tried to sign me, but I gave my word to this club,” Ronaldo told the media.
“For me, it’s a good challenge, I know what I want, so this is a good chance to help change (football in Saudi Arabia) with my knowledge and experience.
“I want to change everyone’s perspective of the country.”
Ronaldo added: “I’m a unique player. I beat all the records in Europe. I want to beat a few records here.
“This contract is unique but I’m a unique player, so for me it’s normal. I really don’t worry about what people say. I am really, really happy to be here.
“I know the league is very competitive, I saw many games. I hope to play after (Wednesday) if the coach thinks there’s a chance. I’m ready to keep playing football.”
