Asisat Oshoala insists chances need to be taken
Asisat Oshoala claims their performance has been solid so far but need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Nigerian super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala claimed that the team need to start scoring goals following their defeat against Spain in the Olympics.
The Falcons lost their opening two matches at the Olympics games against Brazil and Spain.
Alexia Putellas scored the decisive goal for La Roja four minutes from regulation time.
Following their solid display in the 1- 0 defeat against the Spanish side the striker has now stated that they need to start converting their chances.
Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade and Chiwendu Ihezuo missed good chances for Randy Waldrum’s side in the game.
“All I can say is I am proud of our performance. I think we played good. We played against the world champions and we had our chances, we had opportunities to score Spain, the Bay FC striker said after the game.
“I think the same thing happened to us in the first game. We were not clinical upfront. I think if we start scoring goals we can compete with any team in the world.”
