Ten Hag praise Antony early impact
Manchester United new boy Antony annonuced himself against Arsenal as Ten Hag praise his early impact in the victory at Old Trafford.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has praised the early impact of his new signing in their 3-1 win against Arsenal.
The 22-year-old forward completed his move to United from Ajax on Thursday’s deadline day and celebrated being named in the starting XI for the weekend’s victory over the Gunners with a goal on his debut.
The Brazilian announced himself in the 35th minutes of the game with a goal on his debut in the first half of the game at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Antony early impact Ten Hag said: “I think we have already seen what a threat he is. Speed and creativity are a real threat in the Premier League. And he is a part of it. And I think we missed a player on the right wing because all the players that can play there like Jadon Sancho, like Marcus Rashford, prefer more the centre or the left side.
“Now, we have the one who can play really good over the right wing, so there was a missing link. Now, today’s first performance here, he did well, but he can step up. I know him from Amsterdam.
“I know this is a different league, but there is potential and he will get that. He will be even better than he was today. But I would say today already, it was a great goal. Although, I must mention all the goals today were team goals.”
The Brazilian reflected on the experience as a whole via his official social media, with a post that he started by saying: “What an incredible day!
What an incredible day! A huge thanks to all MU staff and my teammates!! I'll never forget this day! To United fans, all my affection for this reception! Let's go for more! That´s just the beginning! 🔴⚽️ @ManUtd #Reds #United #MUFC #RedDevils pic.twitter.com/pKdHs5sAy2
