Tristan Thompson unlikely to play in Celtics’ opener
Tristan Thompson is expected to miss the opening game of the Boston Celtics for the 2020/21 NBA season.
Thompson is dealing with a hamstring injury and has yet to practice with the team.
“Brad Stevens gives a couple of medical updates: Tristan Thompson has yet to practice in camp, and Payton Pritchard “had a finger pop out” on his left hand.
Says he hopes Pritchard’s return is “sooner rather than later” & Thompson grows more unlikely for opening night by the day,” Tim Bontemps of ESPN reports.
The Celtics will play the Milwaukee Bucks in their NBA opener on December 23.
