Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that his team is on a mission against Osasuna in the La Liga.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that they are on a mission to get three points against tonight La Liga’s opponent Osasuna.
Real Madrid are leading the league table with 15 points and but the former Everton manager believes they still need to do more in order to move close to the league.
Ancelotti’s did an incredible comeback against Sevilla in the League with Benzema score a late goal to secure three points despite trailing 2-0 in the first half of that match.
“My message for this game is the same as it has been in all of our previous matches. We’re close to winning the LaLiga title, but we’ve got some important games ahead of us. It’s a very difficult place to go, but we want to beat Osasuna and edge even closer to the title”.
“I’m too experienced to believe that we’ve already won LaLiga. We’re very close to winning it. We’r performing very well and must continue to do so. Winning the game would give us a great opportunity to close in on the title”.
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been in fine form for his side in the Champions League and also in La Liga this season.
When asked if the French man will be rested against Osasuna Ancelotti said: “When a player is fine there’s no need for them to rest and it would make no sense not to put him in. The player is fine and in good form and doesn’t have any muscle fatigue. He’ll play tomorrow”.
The Spanish giant are in the Champions League semifinal following their victory over Chelsea and will play Manchester City in the semi final.
When aske which of the league he will like to win between the La Liga and the Champions League the Italian said: “I’d be excited to win both trophies. I have to assess my whole career in football. Winning things is tough and it’s not something you can do on your own.
“I’ve been lucky enough to coach some great clubs where I’ve had the chance to win trophies. There are some coaches who do a fantastic job to avoid relegation and that’s just like winning a trophy”.
