Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK Government following Russia invasion over Ukraine.
The club has been put for sale by and the London club is set to be taken over by Todd Boehly who was in attendance at Stamford Bridge against Wolves.
Tuchel has had to handle repeated questions since it was revealed Roman Abramovich would have to sell the club, and opened up on how hard things have been.
He said: “It’s a situation that is unique, quite challenging, and we want the situation to be clarified. We’re waiting for a long time because we need the positive energy and competitive atmosphere as a club. That is why it’s very important that things progress.
“There’s no hiding from the fact it is a distraction. We did excellent until the international break, it had no effect in terms of results, it had almost the opposite effect. We felt very strong during the difficulties and sanctions were in place.
“Then we had two weeks when the players weren’t here, different influences and more thoughts about the situation in general. The guys want to know what’s going on next season. Every day it gets more difficult. Not impossible, but more difficult.”
