Amorim Calls for Unity as Manchester United’s Struggles Continue with Spurs Defeat

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has urged his squad to stick together after their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, a result that leaves the Red Devils languishing in 15th place in the Premier League table.

United failed to find the back of the net in North London, with Amorim admitting that his side lacked a clinical edge in attack.

“It was the difference in the game—they scored, and we didn’t,”* he told reporters post-match. “We had the opportunities, we had situations in transitions, but in the end, they took their chance, and we didn’t.”

The Portuguese manager is hopeful that some of his injured players will return soon, as United look to salvage their season.

“We want to recover the players. I think we can get some back for the next game. We have to be together to finish the season and start over,”he added.

Despite mounting pressure, Amorim remains defiant, emphasizing his confidence in his work and dismissing concerns about his own position.

“I am not worried. I understand our fans and what the media think. I hate to lose—it’s the worst feeling. But I am here to help my players. My job is to win games, and my main concern is our place in the table, not myself,” he insisted.

With United struggling in the bottom half of the table, Amorim faces a tough challenge in turning their fortunes around as the season progresses.
