Tottenham Manager Jose Mourinho expresses his disappointment after a late 2-1 loss against the defending champion Liverpool on Wednesday night, Mourinho believe his side deserve more than the result of the match.
Mourinho stated that he will not be happy either if the game ended 1-1 because they created chances to hurt Liverpool and that he doesn’t bother about possession but how dangerous they are when they have the ball.
“I’m disappointed because we deserved much more, but that’s the way it is.”
“If it was a draw, I wouldn’t be jumping with happiness, because the draw would be the minimum for what we did, so to lose it is hard, but we lost, Jose said
“We had chances in the moment they were suffering. Of course, I know it’s a word people love, possession, but for me it’s not (about) possession, it’s what you do when you have the ball, how dangerous you are when you have the ball, and in the second half, we got in the face of the goalkeeper two or three times, and we have to score to win the game, period. There is no story. Score the goal, three points, go home and no more talk.
Tottenham now occupy the second position behind the Reds in the premier league with 25 points after playing 13 games, Mourinho will be hosting Leicester who lost to Everton as the quest to win the Premier league continue.
