Thibaut Courtois believes last year performace will not happen against Chelsea in the Champions League as he stressed the fact that they are not bothered about the absence of Carlo Ancelotti.
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois said last year result won’t repeat itself as they will be giving their all for the will against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Chelsea defeated the Spanish side last season in the Champions League semi final before going on to win it against Manchester City in the final.
Courtois who was in goal the last time Chelsea defeated Real Madrid stated that last season performance win not repeat itself.
He added that they will give their all to get the winning as he believes they are in good shape.
“Last year’s tie was different”, Courtois said. It was in the semi-finals and there were no fans in the stands. This is a new season, it’s a different game and this is the first leg and not the return match. We’re in very good shape and are raring to get out there and play with the right intensity. We’ll be giving our all to win”.

When you consider that we’ve got the return leg back at the Bernabéu, anything is possible and that’s why we’re hoping to pick up a good result here. Courtois has been in great form this season and has help the team keep cleansheet in the La Liga game.
He has been impressive in the Champions League this season as well and he hope he can keep a cleansheet against his former club Chelsea.

As we saw in Paris, anything is possible in a return leg. I hope that we can get a good result to take back to the Bernabéu”.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will not be in charge of the team against Chelsea has he tested positive for Corona Virus ahead of the game.
Speaking about the absent of the team manager Courtois says they have nothing to worry about because they Ancelotti has a capable back room staff that are capable.
“We know what he’s like and how he wants us to train. He’s got a great team of coaches behind him and he has sometimes taken part in team talks via video conference. The coaching staff did a really good job in Vigo”.
