Erik Ten Hag not sure of summer transfer budget
Erik ten Hag admitted he is in the dark over Manchester United’s summer transfer budget.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has stated that he is not sure of the summer transfer plan.
Uncertainty continues around United’s ownership with the Glazers looking to sell all, or part, of their share of the club.
A number of parties have made bids, but there does not appear to be any speedy resolution to the matter.
That uncertainty could affect the club’s summer transfer plans and Ten Hag is unsure about how much he’ll be able to spend.
“I don’t have influence on that,” the Dutchman said about available funds.
“I don’t know.
“The only thing I know is that Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs, among maybe the two biggest clubs in the world from a fanbase perspective.
“So, I think this club has to compete for the highest in the world, so Champions League, Premier League.
“But in football you need funds to construct squads because the level from your players makes you successful or not.”
