Evans and Lattimore ejected after huge fight
Evans and Lattimore were ejected from game following a huge altercation from them during the match.
Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore were ejected from the game after huge fight occur during their match.
Evans shoved Lattimore to the ground following an incomplete pass to Bucs wide receiver Scotty Miller.
Tom Brady, who threw an incomplete pass with just under 13 minutes remaining in a 3-3 game, several Bucs and Saints started exchanging words. It appeared that the jawing began with Lattimore and Brady.
Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette pushed Lattimore, and then Evans ran in to knock Lattimore to the ground after the Saints cornerback went after Fournette.
Flags flew and both Evans and Lattimore were ejected following their clash in the game.
Both teams will wait and see if the duo will face any additional league discipline for their roles in Sunday’s altercation.
Evans isn’t expecting any extra discipline and explained what he saw on the play.
“I know we were trying to get a flag called and he wasn’t calling it. All I see is Lattimore— he punched [Fournette] in the face or something like that. Then, like, pushed Tom [Brady]. That’s all I saw. I just pushed him”, Evans said.
The two have mixed it up in the past and had a similar-looking incident occur in 2017 when Evans hit Lattimore hard from behind after he lightly shoved then-Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston.
