Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson calls for a better relationship with supporters and also applaud fans for showing how important they are.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson calls for a better relationship with supporters after they made their opinion on the proposed Super League.

The Reds was one of the team that join the failed Super league plan but later withdrew due to the fact that the big six were called out by the fans, FA and the UEFA.

Henderson in is column stated that the close bond between the club and the supporters that has brought success should be maintain at all cost.

Henderson on the power of fans.

He stated that the power of the supporters was recognized in all its glory as they were against the proposal which mean they cannot be ignored.

“If there is a positive to come from this situation it is that the power of supporters has been recognised in all its glory, Henderson said. Stopping the proposal was your victory – you showed you cannot and must not be ignored.

“Trust me when I tell you that message has been received loud and clear at our club and there is an acknowledgement we have to work as hard as we ever have done to earn your trust again.”

On the failed Super League.

The England international stated that he never like the concept, he didn’t support it and he didn’t want to see it happen and admits it was the right decision for the Reds to withdraw from it.

He also stated that players and fans were not carried along and that is where they all got it wrong.

He also admits that the owners of the club have been good to Liverpool and he respect that has his opinion his built on experience and privileged of been a player and captain of the club.
