Jude Bellingham, despite being sidelined with a knee injury, joins England’s preparations for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia. The talented teenager aims to draw from the pain of previous near misses and help the Three Lions secure European Championship glory in Germany next summer.

Jude Bellingham is determined to channel the anguish of England’s recent heartbreaks as the talented young player sets his sights on guiding the Three Lions to European Championship triumph next summer.

Having experienced the agony of a penalty shootout loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 final, followed by a disappointing quarter-final exit to France in the World Cup held in December, Bellingham now shifts his focus to England’s pursuit of glory in the upcoming Euros in Germany. The team’s journey towards the tournament will receive a significant boost if they can secure victories in the qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia scheduled for June.

Unfortunately, Bellingham, who is on the verge of a move to Real Madrid after Borussia Dortmund accepted their offer, will be sidelined from these matches due to a knee injury. Nevertheless, he remains committed to the cause and has joined the squad at St George’s Park to continue his rehabilitation.

“We’ve got to attack the qualifiers with the same mentality as we attack major tournaments,” Bellingham recently told PA.

“The last three tournaments, I’d say, we’ve been pretty successful. The last one was a bit disappointing, but we probably played a harder opponent than the previous ones.

“The way we went out was disappointing, but you take confidence in the fact that you can go toe-to-toe with one of the better teams in Europe.

“It stands you in good stead when you know there’s not many better teams on paper – you’d like to think – that are better than us.

“So, you take that confidence and you take the experience that we’ve gained from the last few.

“The goal is always to try and win it. That should be the goal for all of us going into it and that’s what we’ll try and do.”
