Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has emerged as a leading contender for the Tottenham job.

Burnley head coach Vincent Kompany appears to be a candidate for Tottenham job.

The Manchester City legend has the Clarets 13-points clear at the top of the Championship.

Kompany has also transformed the philosophy at Turf Moor and instilled an attractive style of play.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently tipped his former player to take over at City one day – but Spurs might have first crack.

According to The Sun, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has identified the Burnley manager as a candidate and the former Belgium defender is interested.

Antonio Conte was sacked on Sunday and his long-serving assistant Cristian Stellini has taken interim charge.
