Manchester United still on Jim Ratcliffe radar
Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly reconfiguring his offer to acquire Manchester United, breathing new life into the prospect of a takeover of the renowned Premier League powerhouse.
Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly reworking his bid to purchase Manchester United in an effort to rekindle the potential takeover of the Premier League powerhouse.
Talks have hit a standstill, angering fans due to delays caused by the Glazer family, despite several bids in play.
While a Qatari-led bid is still under consideration, Ratcliffe is actively collaborating with his advisors to address concerns regarding his offer.
Earlier this year, Ratcliffe proposed acquiring 69% of the Glazers’ shares in Manchester United. He faces competition from a Qatari investor group led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, aiming to take complete control of the club and end the Glazers’ ownership, which could be one of the most significant sports team deals ever.
However, Ratcliffe’s previous offer might allow some Glazer family members to retain a stake in the club, which does not align with the desires of supporters who want full ownership transferred to new hands.
