Asked about the team’s lack of goals at the moment, the midfielder did not hesitate with his answer: “I am sure the team will start scoring. We have a striker that we all know has the qualities to score goals and we will try to help him. Xavi asks us to get in the box more and we are working on it.”
The Teenager added what for him will be key on Wednesday against the Italians: “It would be ideal to score early, to wear them out and take advantage of the chances that come our way.”
In a separate interview Padri spoke on his experience so far in football stating that: “Whenever I had a ball I always tried to play football on the field or against the wall at home, trying to turn as quickly as possible.” Pedri jokes, “One day I worked at my parents’ bar and I realised it was very tough.”
“A lot of the time I play on instinct,” reveals Pedri. The midfielder remembers his first goal in the Champions League, scored against Turkish side Galatasaray: “It’s a really nice memory – I knew there were two players on the goal line. I don’t always dare to shoot but this time I knew I would.”
