The PFA has extended its support to mediate in the conflict between Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.

The PFA has offered assistance to mediate the ongoing dispute between Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.

Two weeks ago, Ten Hag removed Sancho from first-team training as a result of the winger’s refusal to apologize for a social media post that implied dishonesty on Ten Hag’s part.

Sancho has since been restricted from using first-team facilities at the Carrington training ground and is currently training with the academy.

Ten Hag, supported by United’s leadership, insists that Sancho’s exile will persist until an apology is issued. The footballers’ union has reached out to both United and Sancho in an attempt to facilitate a resolution.

Meanwhile United teammates, including Marcus Rashford, who is also a fellow England international, have encouraged Jadon Sancho to swallow his pride and say sorry to Ten Hag to end the stand-off.

Unless Sancho changes his position, Manchester United is prepared to consider offers for him when the transfer window reopens, and there’s potential interest from Borussia Dortmund in reacquiring him. Sources close to Ten Hag emphasize that the Dutchman derives no satisfaction from the current deadlock.

However, as things stand, Sancho may not participate in tonight’s Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace.
