Redknapp Slam Spurs for not having concrete plan

Harry Redknapp has admitted he is surprised that Spurs didn’t have a plan in place after sacking Antonio Conte.

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp fumes at Spurs lack of concrete planning after the exit of former manager Antonio Conte.

The former Juventus manager was sacked and replaced by Cristian Stellini, who has now parted ways with the London club now.

Speaking to the media Redknapp stated that he thought Spurs would have a plan before parting ways with Conte.

He added that there were options they could go for as there are some quality managers that are out of job.

“Yeah I thought [Mauricio] Pochettino would go in there, I thought he’s out of work now and he looks like an obvious choice really,” Redknapp told talkSPORT Drive.

“I thought he’d be the one but you think that’s not going to happen because if it was, they’ll have took him straight away. There’s still a great chance to make the top four, he’s out of work, lives around the corner, perfect. So it seems to me that he’s certainly not one of their main choices.”

He continued: “The German boy from Bayern Munich [Julian Nagelsmann], it looks like Chelsea are interested, they may not get him.

“I don’t know, Brendan Rodgers is out of work, he could be a possibility, they could go and get him now if they want to try and make the top four still.

“So, there’s options out there, there’s one or two of them out there who are not working at the moment who they could take, but you’d have thought the plan would have been in place, it was certainly a rash decision.

“When Pochettino went, [Jose] Mourinho was in there at 9am the next morning, so normally they have got something in mind but this time it looks like they sacked Conte because of what went on and left themselves in limbo.”
