Enyimba forward Samuel Stone has stated that he knows his standard in the Nigeria Professional league after proving himself in their last game.

Stone, who joined Enyimba from Jigawa Golden Stars claims he was not happy not have game time after joining the Abia state club.

He revealed his dissatisfaction coming in for few minutes in a game but claims he had to work hard to up the challenge.

Stone further stated that he challenged the club coach Finidi George to give him a trial in his starting line up so as to prove him wrong.

After making his full debut against Remo star and giving an incredible display for the team, Stone said he came to Enyimba prove is worth and promise he won’t relent.

Speaking with the club media Stone stated that: “I was not happy for not having a playing time, because there is no good player that will come to a team and not playing, and feel relaxed” he told www.enyimbafc.net. “That means it shows you came for the money and definitely you’re not going to last in the team, because if they don’t see your effort, you have to go for another person to come and take over that job.

“You go hard or you stay home, that’s my slogan. For me, not playing all those time, I was not happy. I gave the coach some body languages by working extra hard for him to know I wanted to play.

“I know my standard in the league, so coming to Enyimba and not proving myself, I didn’t feel good about it. I never felt good when I was coming in for two minutes, five minutes. I was not happy about myself.

“I met the coach and we talked and I said ‘start me in a game and I will prove you wrong. I just need to start a game and I will prove you wrong’.

“I was happy everything went as planned because I was ready. For you to go out to talk to a coach with that confidence, you have to be ready.”
