Erik ten Hag has insisted he has no problem with players arguing on the pitch.

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has stated that he has no issues with players arguing with themselves in the pitch.

The former Ajax manager insisted that it shows the passion and willingness of players in the team.

It comes after the Dutchman was asked about the flare-up between Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro after a 1-0 win against Aston Villa at the weekend.

The Brazilian was less than pleased with his United teammate after full-time, berating him for losing the ball with seconds left on the clock.

The heated encounter was caught on camera and went viral on social media.

But Ten Hag has insisted that he has no problem with his players scuffling, and has actively encouraged more on-field debates, as long as it breeds results.

He told United’s website: “They have to communicate. They have to organise it and make sure we get a win.

“So when they are talking to each other, in discussion, debating with each other, I don’t have a problem with that. It shows the willingness and showed ambition from this team.”
