Thomas Tuchel reacts to Potter’s exit at Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel has also reacted to Graham Potter’s exit – turns out he’s not too bothered.
Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel claims he enjoyed working with the Blues during his time there but showed less concerned about news of the exit of his replacement.
The Bayern Munich manager recently admitted he was still ‘hurting’ from this Stamford Bridge departure earlier this season, having build a strong connection to the club which he says ‘felt like family’.
He was axed by the Blues in September and replaced by Potter, who has now also been shown the exit door in the same season after less than seven months in the job, while Tuchel has just been appointed head coach of Bayern Munich – football, eh?
Tuchel was asked about the exit of his Chelsea replacement earlier today, and admitted the club has changed so much in such a short space of time under new owner Todd Boehly that he was not really fussed about it.
“I saw the news very late last night,” said the German. “The timing coincided with my appointment here.
“I really enjoyed working there and formed friendships for life and it took me a while to process my dismissal.
“But the club has changed a lot, so it didn’t really trigger big emotions in me.”
