The absence of former owner Roman Abramovic have thrown Chelsea under the bus as Todd Boehly arrival might not fruithful for the London club this season.

London club Chelsea has been on of the successful club in England under former owner Roman Abramovic.

The club won numerous trophies in England and also in Europe in general under the strict Russian billionaire owner.

Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the U.K Government sanctioned Roman Abramovic due to his link with the Russian Government.

During the tug of war on who to handle the club during the sanction and also low financial return to the club the team began to decline little by little.

Losing games that were winnable under the tough situation faced by the club last season.

The emergence of new owner Todd Boehly and a consortium of investors spark of reactions from fans if he can deliver like the former owner.

Boehly arrival at the club made Chelsea’s best transfer negotiator and the club director Marina Granovskaia left the club as well.

The former chairman Bruce Buck also left the club and the American stepped in as an interim Chairman and director.

Following the preparation of this season Chelsea made some signings that have put a smile on some fans faces but seems not to be the signings that will make them title contenders.

The Blues signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and also Koulibaly from Napoli following the departure of Anthony Rudiger, Christensen and Lukaku from the club.

Though Kai Havertz has been utilized as preferred forward for Thomas Tuchel, as he plays his compatriot as a false nine.

The system worked for him playing a back three in most of their games in the Premier League and Champions League but with the arrival of Raheem Sterling will shift the system back to a back four.

Chelsea has the right players to play a back four system but might struggle in front of goal as they do not have a clinical striker that can convert goals for them.

The likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Raheem Sterling are not clinical enough to get Chelsea the goals they need in the Premier league and also in Europe.

Chelsea found it so hard to get better results in their preseason game and also lost 4-0 to their London rival Arsenal in a friendly recently.

It might just be a friendly game but this are showing significant things chelsea might actually face this season.

Lack of squad depth will also cost the team as they will have to rely on some of the players that perform under average which will definitely cost them.

Without getting the right signings done before the end of the transfer window Chelsea is likely to fail this season and might find it difficult to get into the top four.
