PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi demand respect for Ligue 1 club following Kylian Mbappe’s deal that made him snub Real Madrid.
Mbappe was offered a huge deal which will see at the Ligue 1 club for three more seasons.
After the deal was announced La Liga President Javier Tabas questioned PSG‘s Financial Fair Play situation given the huge losses incurred by the French club in recent seasons.
Al-Khelaifi responded to the comment of the La Liga President claiming that the Ligue 1 is doing better than La Liga.
He further stated that he has always respected other clubs and he will like his club to be respected as it is crucial.
“I think the president of Ligue 1 can answer that. Maybe he is afraid that Ligue 1 is better than LaLiga [Santander],” Al-Khelaifi told reporters at a press conference where Mbappe was present too, following his renewal.
“That’s good for us. LaLiga is not the same as it was three or four years ago. I have respect for all the clubs , but we need respect too . Respect is crucial.
“I’m not going to go into what you’ve asked because it’s none of my business. We’re focused on our club, on the best player in the world. That’s what concerns us.
“We have the best player in the world with us for three years. What other people say is not an issue. We don’t listen to it, we focus on our project.”
