Donny Van De Beek showed class for Everton after a loan spell from Manchester United.

Everton player Donny Van De Beek showed what Manchester United are missing in their midfield.

The former Ajax player, Van De Bee ran the show in the Central midfield along side Allan in the game yesterday.

Sportscliffs understands that the 24-years-old had a great in impact for the Merseyside club as he played a key part in the Everton’s opener.

Speaking after the game Everton manager Frank Lampard said:  “I thought Donny van de Beek was great. To play like that at home — his calmness, work rate and intelligence was great.

“I think he can do different roles and that’s why I moved so quickly to get him. He played in a double No. 6 today and has the talent to link and get us through the lines. He’s a goal threat, too, so that was one of the big pulls of bringing him in.”

Like Frank Lampard side after the game the Dutch played as a double six and made some key decision in the midfield.

According to Planet football here are some of the stats for Van De Beek against Leeds United

– Van de Beek scored a pass accuracy rate of 89.5% and created one goalscoring opportunity with a key pass against Bielsa’s Leeds.

– The midfielder won three aerial duels against his opponents, the most of anybody on either side.

– He also recorded the most tackles (four) and won the most possession in the middle third of the pitch (six times).

– Van de Beek international made one crucial interception that broke down a promising Leeds move, highlighting his versatility.

– He also recovered the ball 10 times, recycling possession and keeping Everton ticking over from his central midfield role.

– And Van de Beek enjoyed just 51 touches of the ball during the match, showing how economical the midfielder can be in possession.

The Dutch signed for Manchester United from Ajax in 2020 but was unable to get game time with the Red Devils.

He made a switch to Everton on loan just as to get game time before the upcoming world cup.
