Real Madrid secured a 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid at the Bernabéu, but Kylian Mbappé, who joined the club this summer, went without a goal for the second consecutive LaLiga game.

Despite not finding the net, Mbappé’s presence was positively acknowledged by coach Carlo Ancelotti, who remains unfazed by the forward’s recent scoring drought.

The match saw Federico Valverde open the scoring after the break, with Brahim Díaz doubling the lead. Mbappé was substituted in the 86th minute, and Endrick, who replaced him, scored his first goal for Madrid in the dying moments of the game.

Ancelotti expressed confidence in Mbappé’s ability to score, dismissing concerns that playing as a center-forward might limit his impact. The coach emphasized that Mbappé’s speed and movement make him a potent offensive threat and assured that goals would come.

Ancelotti also highlighted the performance of Endrick, the 18-year-old summer signing, praising his potential and his ability to excel in tight spaces. The coach noted that Endrick’s goal demonstrated his valuable skills in the penalty area.

Real Madrid’s win followed a 1-1 draw with Real Mallorca on the season’s opening weekend, as the team aims to defend their LaLiga title.

The squad is currently missing midfielders Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga due to injury, and defender Ferland Mendy was suspended for the Valladolid match.

Next, Madrid will face Las Palmas on Thursday before hosting Real Betis in their upcoming league fixture, continuing their campaign to secure another domestic title.
