Saliba to miss crucial back to back games
Arsenal will still be without William Saliba for crucial back-to-back games against Man City and Chelsea, Mikel Arteta has confirmed.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that William Saliba will miss crucial games for the Gunners.
The Gunners will travel to Manchester City to face Pep Guardiola’s side tomorrow as they would seek to keep their title hope alive.
Arteta speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League title showdown with City admitted key man Saliba will be missing again having yet to recover from injury, and probably won’t be ready for their clash against Chelsea on May 2 either.
“There’s not been a real improvement unfortunately on him so we’re still waiting,” said the Gunners boss.
“We’re still hopeful but another week has gone by and he hasn’t been able to play.
“At the moment we don’t have him and we’re preparing this game without him. Probably the next game [Chelsea] will come too soon as well.”
