Ten Hag send clear message to Pellistri
Facundo Pellistri earned praise from Manager Erik Ten Hag after his impressive performance few minutes after coming on in the Carabao cup against Charlton as the former Ajax manager send the Uruguayan a clear message.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has sent his word of encouragement to young player Facundo Pellistri after his performance against Charlton in the Carabao Cup.
The Uruguayan came on in the second half of the game for Antony and then immediately assisted Rashford for United’s second goal of the game.
Pellistri, who represented his country side in the World cup in Qatar joined Manchester United in 2020 but has been loaned out severally to Spanish clubs.
The Young player made his debut last night and immediately capture the heart of the former Ajax manager.
“I see a future in him,” said Ten Hag after the game. “He is doing really well and we have to see what is the best [for him]. He is progressing. Against Everton [in a behind-closed doors friendly], I was really happy with his performance.
“I was happy with his performance at the World Cup so his progress is really good and now he is coming on and has an effect. So that’s the next step that I say: ‘well done Pelli, keep going’.”

In a separate interview, the manager said: “I mentioned already Pellistri came on and it was a debut. It was not long but he was really lively, some good actions and also the assist on the second goal.”
United face three big games in the space of eight days, starting with Manchester City on Saturday before away matches in London against Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
