Mauricio Pochettino intrested in Chelsea’s job
Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly interested in the Chelsea job if current boss Graham Potter gets sacked.
Former Tottenham hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly intrested in taking the job at Chelsea if the owner dismisses Graham Potter.
Potter, who was empolyed by new owner Todd Boehly after sacking Thomas Tuchel this season is facing the same situation at the Stamford Bridge club.
Potter is under mounting pressure after a run of four defeats in his last six Premier League matches.
It is understood Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly intends to stand by Potter, who only arrived from Brighton in September, despite fans turning on the manager and the hierarchy at the Etihad on Tuesday night.
However, with the club currently tenth in the table, Boehly could be forced to change course if the miserable run of form continues.
According to The Sun, ex-Tottenham manager Pochettino is keeping an eye on the situation.
The 50-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in July.
Pochettino is still fondly remembered at Spurs after guiding the club to the 2019 Champions League final – and the Argentine could jeopordise his relationship with fans by working for their arch-rivals.
It has also been suggested Pochettino could be wanted back at Tottenham if current manager Antonio Conte leaves in the near future.
